Full speed ahead on our September here at Ivy League School! As the school year continues, many events and activities take place. Believe it or not, a field trip is already about to happen for our elementary students in the near future!
Friday, September 20, 2019, students in grades 1-4 will be headed out on their field trip to the Brookhaven Laboratory. Students will take part in three different activities throughout the day. A “Blocks and Marbles” activity, “Seeing the Light”, and a “Magnets” activity will fill the students’ morning. To ensure that our students are getting the most out of this trip, all activities will be tailored to best fit the coinciding grade.
All of the instructors at the Brookhaven Lab are wonderful at what they do. Brookhaven has effective instructors that absolutely engage the students too. They allow students to share their thoughts, ideas, and questions.
Field trip information for Ivy League will be found on our online portal system, Blackbaud. Blackbaud not only allows you to easily access permission slips, but also obtain necessary information. When logging into Blackbaud, parents can find information regarding the trip and the ability to pay the fee required for trips.
On behalf of all faculty, we would like to thank our families who attended our Back to School Picnic this past Friday. It is always an excellent turnout amongst our families. We love seeing our Ivy League family socializing and enjoying the inflatables, rides, and entertainment that were at the event.
As a last reminder, please make sure that you are signing into and checking the Blackbaud portal. We ask that parents check Blackbaud once per day. Teachers communicate all information, pictures, and messages via Blackbaud. We want to keep our parents in the loop of everything going on!Tags: Brookhaven Lab, field trip, science
